Some dreams visit the mind. Others arrive to change the course of a life

Certain moments divide a life into two distinct parts: the before and the after. For me, that definitive boundary line was crossed on an ordinary night, initiated by a dream unlike anything I had ever experienced. At the time, I was living a relatively standard life, where chess occupied most of my waking thoughts and my focus was set on competition, self-improvement, and building a secure future. While spirituality existed quietly in the background, it was far from the center of my universe. Yet, when I opened my eyes in the morning after that dream, the vision did not fade. Days turned into weeks, and instead of dissolving like normal dreams, its presence grew stronger and more vivid. It occupied my mind during the hours of daylight and hovered over me as I fell asleep, leaving me with a profound feeling that I could not dismiss.

Compelled to understand the dream's meaning, I began to notice a strong, magnetic inner pull. Glimpses of intuition and subtle synchronicities emerged in my daily life, pointing me towards a specific path. Though, I did not fully understand what was happening, I surrendered to this guidance and allowed myself to follow it. Within just a few days, this search led me to a discovery I had never anticipated—something that would quietly but permanently alter the trajectory of my existence. At that early stage, I could not have grasped the true magnitude of what I had found. I only knew that the questions had begun, and they refused to be ignored.

I wondered why this had occurred, why it had happened at this specific moment, and how an unseen hand had so gently yet firmly redirected my path. The answers did not arrive immediately; in truth, they would take years of reflection to fully reveal themselves. Looking back, I can see that the dream was never the destination itself, but rather the first knock on a door that had been waiting for me all along. The full story of that dream, the search that followed, and the spiritual awakening it set into motion is told in detail within the pages of Before I Became Fire.

I thought I had
awakened from the dream.
Years later, I realized
the dream had
awakened me.
