The boy from Nashik carried no map, no answers, and no certainty—only a quiet longing that refused to leave him.

I was born and raised in Nashik, a city deeply rooted in spirituality and tradition. I grew up in a modest lower-middle-class family where faith, hard work, and quiet sacrifice shaped everyday life. As a young child, I survived a serious medical condition that nearly took my life. Looking back, it feels as though life had granted me a second chance long before I understood why. My mother was a devoted follower of Sri Swami Samartha, and her unwavering faith quietly planted the first seeds of spirituality within me. My father worked tirelessly to support our family, while the sacrifices made by those around me taught me lessons about gratitude long before I was old enough to appreciate them. Like many children, I dreamed of creating a better future for my family through education. Yet beneath those ordinary ambitions, another curiosity was already taking shape. From an early age, I found myself drawn towards meditation, discipline, and the lives of great spiritual masters. The teachings of Swami Vivekananda particularly captivated me, awakening questions that extended far beyond success, achievement, or material goals. While most of my friends were occupied with the distractions of childhood, I often found myself fascinated by silence and introspection. I did not understand where that attraction came from, nor did I realize how important it would later become. Looking back, I can see that the foundations of my journey were being laid long before I understood where they would lead. The lessons of family, struggle, gratitude, faith, and inner seeking would eventually shape everything that followed.

The boy from Nashik did not yet know his destination. But the search had already begun.

As I believed along the way, Sometimes the
journey begins
long before
the traveler knows
he is walking towards it.
